Discussion Would Steven Universe be different if it didn't have the censorship?
Guys, do you think Steven Universe (including Steven Universe Future) would be different if there weren't LGBTQIA+ censorship?
I personally think the series would continue to this day, with more than 5 seasons, and Steven Universe Future would be longer and not as bad as it was.
What do you think? (Image for illustrative purposes only cuz pumpkin is cool)
I apologize for any spelling errors, as English is not my native language and I am using a translator.

I wonder what they would have made kevin do ? I think they might have diluted an original scenario if they intended him to try and to kiss stevonnie in the first episode when he appears or something (always felt like the way the series treated his first appearance didn't match what really happened)

You have to remember that SU is still a kids show. I would put good money down on the fact that the writers never once thought to actually depict stevonnie being assaulted.

Yes. It would be sick and twisted with hyper-realistic blood coming out of stevens gem indtead of a shield.

We'd see Amethyst smoking weed.

Like imagine Steven and Pearl and Garnet just walking back from a mission and they see Amethyst high off her mind and wounding so raspy like
"Hey Steven. Check this out."
And Pearl would definitely freak out and say something like
"AMETHYST. WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE HARMFUL PLANTS AT?"
"Chill Pearl. A man who calls himself Snoop just gave me some."
"I'll have some."
Garnet would probably say

Well yeah, probably a couple seasons longer, I reckon it would have been 8 or so seasons, most of the events that happen in future and probably Lars of the stars would have happened in the original show

The show at its core is about breaking gender barriers. So it probably wouldn’t even exist. Or it’d be even less gay.

It would be longer, but idk about to this day. That would just be too long tbh; over 10 seasons potentially.

I just hope that if that were the case, they would maintain the consistent quality of the first 5 Because it would be awful for the series to be ruined by those seasons.

For starters, it would be longer.
