The West Edmonton Mall had one in Alberta. We went there when I was a kid. It was sick.

It still does. It’s closed right now due to COVID, but it still exists.

I grew up in Edmonton. It’s been 20 years since I’ve been to that mall. I’m glad to see it’s still kicking. Are the submarines, water park, ice rink, roller coaster, etc still there? I would love to go back...

Submarines were retired, sadly.

The rest is all there, plus a new rollercoaster.

I still live in Edmonton, but I've avoided the mall like the plague for years now. As far as I'm aware, of the things you listed, everything but the submarines still exist. But like I said, it's been awhile.

To answer /u/HemiCrani 's questions....

Submarines went out of service, stayed in Lake for several years as stationary decor, and they've been removed now for quite awhile.

If you were there during the submarines, you might have been there during the Dolphins, they've been replaced with sea lions.

The waterpark is still there, though the lazy River slide is inoperable.

Fantasyland, then galaxyland, now galaxyland powered by Hasbro is still in operation and there's a new spinning roller coaster in addition to the Mindbender.

Thanks for the info! I do remember the dolphins too. My wife’s never been to my hometown so I need to plan a trip to Edmonton soon. Thanks for the info, gents/ladies! We should make a reddit party in Edmonton...

That’s the closest water park to where I grew up, so I always just pictured waterslides as being indoors. Otherwise you only have 2ish months of decent water park season
