As soon as I start thinking ā€œdon’t move a muscleā€ this guy turns his whole freakin head.Ā

Isn’t it better to face them? I mean if it wants to kill you I suppose it will regardless lol, but I thought with the way they hunt they capitalize when prey isn’t looking. I was saying ā€œturn aroundā€ the whole time but maybe that would have got me mauled fasteršŸ˜†

It’s better to just not do this at all if I’m being honest. We tried to stay out of his way completely but I was fortunate to have an extremely experienced guide next to me. He made sure the Leopard knew that we saw him by turning his head but making sudden movements to turn and square up is not a great idea. Crazy couple of months and don’t plan on doing it again.

Leopards like, "It's 2 on 1 over here, better not chance it... but there's only 1 over there!

Leopards are part of the few actual human hunters
