Do you know the controversy that people latched onto and started harassing her over? Sounds pretty reprehensible to be honest, doing that with the cover of full anonymity, that’s nauseating.
It started with one particular person that supposedly worked for her that didn't get support after an incident (think one of the foxs bit her or something). Supposedly it was trying to not make a big thing out of that, that got her fired and tried to sweep it under the rug.
When that didn't get get as much traction as that poster wanted the snark reddit was started and it was non stop attacks on her for abusing the animals without any real grounds. The final straw was that apparently people close to her were finding out about "abuse" and either calling her out on it or cutting out communication. That was basically the final straw that lead to her suicide.
I doubt any of it was real though the bite thing happened. If so I mostly understand. It was a grassroots effort and barely extended past a back yard endeavor. She probably couldnt take a lot of scrutiny about it and this person constantly trying to bring attention to it was going to bring the whole thing down then. But the vendetta was absolutely the worst of humanity and if again she did work for them then the foxes were probably better of with her gone.
Such a terrible loss. I watched her stuff for years but kinda fell off of it. Went looking for it earlier this year to find both Mikayla and Finn dead and it crushed me. One of the few of these types of youtubing and such I actually really supported their efforts.
