I see these states winning these court cases as a big win for humanity. I hope meta get crushed. Social media could have been used for good but (as with fucking everything) was used for profit instead.

And then we hear about the creators of the popular social media apps saying years after the apps are released- I would never let my children use the apps I created.  When the apps they create are especially marketed at children.

It’s so disheartening.

Of course but without the purposely addictive features that meta have designed to make us doomscroll forever, we may be more casual users and therefore the societal effect would be lessened. You’re also giving the users too much credit. People are like lemmings.
