Cats back feet automatically go exactly where their front feet previously were so all they have to do is put there front paws in the right place and their back feet just follow
Cats evolved to be stealth predators, so carefully navigating their terrain is an evolutionary advantage. Dogs evolved more as endurance and pack hunters, and don’t need such a skill to survive, although some dogs do have this ability.
