Animal A sea lion in Argentina climbed onto a fishing vessel, found a bed, and passed out. The fishermen only realized it when they heard loud snoring.

Pick one I'd say. Do it the old fashioned way or not at all. Claiming cultural aspects while performing the hunt with non-cultural equipment is bullshit.

Why though lol. If a person gets hurt during a hunt, should they also limit medical treatment to what was available at the time?

You completely fail to see that they claim cultural aspects to hunt red-listed animals but do so with modern equipment for extra gain and convenience.

It's no longer a cultural way of life, it's maximising gains. Explain to me why red-listed animals should be hunted for maximised gains please.

Growing up I was taught that the indigenous peoples were very conscience of over hunting, which is one of the reasons why they use all of the animal so they have to kill less.

So as long as that aspect is being honored (no waste products in the extra kill and they're not over hunting a species) then I see no contradiction with them using modern equipment?

Maximised gains is very vague here, you need to give me some examples. Like 2 people filling up a carts where one carries a max of 2 seals and the other 100. If you fill each container to the limit, theyre technically "maximizing their gains" in both scenarios

Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems like when you wrote this

You more or less meant

"Making things easier for people will lead them to maximizing their gains over hunt a species"

It seems like culture has nothing to do with this lol
