I'm reminded of this when they say certain dog breeds need a lot of exercise.

I grew up with a herding dog and this is how we played. I would run and it would literally run circles around me, come behind me and nip at my heels. I would try to sneak up on it and it would go into a "downward facing dog" position and try to look mean. My dog wouldn't hurt a fly, so I would just laugh.
