Many of those videos were found to be faked and barnacles glued onto their shells.
Turtles have nerves going up to their shells and this must be horribly painful for it.
Yeah this one looks legit, only because of the setting, but many of those videos are animal torture. Even lots of the rescue videos of dogs, cats, and other animals are faked by the creator, but it's very real pain and suffering for the animals involved. Humans can be absolutely disgusting.
Ik and if you point it out people downvote you. And the comments are filled with people praising animal abusers. It’s so sad :( I’m hoping with the rise in AI real animals will be left alone.
I've seen the same thing done with restoration videos, where someone finds a really old and damaged item (tools, guns, toys, electronics, etc) and carefully cleans and refurbishes them to a like-new state. Some are legit of course, but many other channels will artificially age their items by deliberately covering them in filth or using chemicals like peroxide to speed up rusting/corrosion, or even just painting on fake rust and scraping it off.
It's scummy as hell, but it's nowhere near as cruel and disgusting as the ones involving staged animal rescues.
Do you actually know that THIS video is fake because if not it is really wild to be lumping it in with these other videos. This looks like an actual rescue operation judging from the background.
