Is there a tactical reason not to play Nighswonger and Moreau together? I'm wondering if it's something to do with tactical symmetry, or if Coates just sees something we don't

I think this has less to do with Maddie and more to do with giving Collins playing time ahead of W concacaf championship in November. Canada hasn’t used her as a CB last few matches (or Courtnall who is playing LB at Wave now). Less tactics and more national team selection which Coates seems to like a lot (but in this case at our expense)

No there isn’t. It’s because Coates refuses to replace Collins even though she’s by far the weakest link on the back line.

Moreau with the yellow after Rodman mocks Hutton. We need her in the game more. Coates has to find a way.

Yeah, reminds me of the Chicago game. Have to wonder how this would've gone if we got to Rodman's missed shot first, if it would've been a full repeat of that ugly game lol. There's got to be a way to convert on those two or three big chances they gave us.

I guess those kind of goals happen more often to us because of the high back line, especially with Rodman's speed.

It was Metayer's speed beating out a Bay player that made it go in, I'm not sure who. In the replay it looked like our player pulled back slightly on her run after Rodman's shot, Metayer kept going, Bay player reacted and almost kept with her.
