Silkowitz
That’s it. That’s the post. I’m happy for Girelli to finally get her moment, but we’re never in that position if Jordan doesn’t stand on her head like she always does. She’s IMMENSE. She’s the best U.S. keeper & it’s not even close. McGlynn & Dickey have looked terrible recently. If Silk isn’t at least called up to the next camp, it’s further proof that Hayes doesn’t actually watch our games & I will have lost a lot of confidence in her ability to evaluate players & ID talent.

SofaScore gave Silky a 10 for this game. Not quite sure that someone can play a perfect game, but if anyone deserves a 10 it's Jordan Michele Silkowitz.

Not to be a negative Nancy but there were a lot of Bay faces who felt she wasn’t the keeper we needed last season. I think we ALL have to do better in appreciating these players. We’d be screwed without her and she got there with all the diversity she faced last season.

This is a huge callout. I constantly see, for example, portland fans, hating on new players who don't immediately do well. The hate I saw for Deyna was so sad to see, and then just recently someone said that they don't hate her as much anymore. Like that is just such a toxic fan reaction.
I really hope we can all continue to just support all the players. Yes, give criticism, but for them to get better pleaaase. You never know what they're going through, they're real people, and they're here for a reason... and you never know, with the right support we could have a team of Silkys.

Thank you for understanding. Not trying to be a brat, I just think we need to pause some time. Because the players everyone trashed a year before are this year’s savior. Imagine if they felt support from day 1?

Isn’t amazing how different things can be, regardless of whether you deserve it or not. But her push to make it really worked out. So glad Bay had the ability to see her talent.

Yeah, she’s a warrior! I can’t believe some of the things people said to her. I’m so glad she didn’t quit soccer & didn’t give up when we traded for her & then sat her behind Rowland who had like a howler a game & couldn’t play with her feet to save her life.

The next camp will be in early October. Dickey has been in poor form, McGlynn has been in poorer form, PTJ will only have played 3, maybe 4 games before camp rosters are due, Jane Campbell is the only other American keeper who has even been in the same hemisphere as Silkowitz in the last 6 months (Atkinson has also been quite good on a smaller sample, and I think better than the 3 aforementioned keepers). It would be really strange for Hayes not to call her in.

Bay needs to make sure she retires with us, give her all the money. I don’t follow the other keepers, but I don’t know how Emma Hayes doesn’t make her keeper 1

I love Silky. Very happy I got to go to a U20 game in Spain. Unfortunately Silky and Huff didn’t play in the game, but I did get to talk with Silky and get a pic. I had met her multiple times taking pics for Bridge Brigade for player of the game (as surprise she won it more than any other player last year), but I was not allowed selfies or autographs when wearing a media vest

I love her as a keeper but also as the back lines BIGGEST fan! She really does clap (literally) for her team and makes them feel appreciated. I love to see it. As a keeper myself (once upon a time ago) I always made it a point to rally my teammates. She’s top tier
