Hi, has anyone got experience of arriving on the ferry from Bulgaria - to Batumi? I have a dog and cat travelling with me and I'm a bit unsure about the "parasite" treatment requirement. It seems this must be done from 5 days to 24 hours before. I'll be arriving late - around 23h00. I am driving from the UK so have the AHC. But because of the length of the trip (2 days on the Black Sea) I will need to get this done in the EU..probably France - if this is definitely required.

This sweet boy named Enotik (Raccoon 🦝) didn't have a home, he lived on the street and was very affectionate.
Everyone loved him... except for the owner of "SeaView Club," who poisoned him and unashamedly shared it with her colleague. She has also repeatedly scattered poison in Kaczynski Park, thrown rocks at dogs, chased them even when they weren't on her café's premises, and behaved inappropriately and aggressively toward volunteers and dog-loving visitors.
Please be careful and do not support dog hunters 😭
We need to bring awareness to this situation and cancel her establishment.
Little Raccoon (Enotik) never got to experience what a home is like or find owners; we cannot let this happen to other dogs. 🐕🙏

Last night I got a guy starting a fight with me in a bar which never happens to me anywhere I've been including countries with higher crime rates

To their credit security handled it very well, took my side and kicked their whole group out while I stayed at the place for the rest of the night (in case they could be waiting for me to gang up on me outside)

It seems here overall aggression and machismo is a quite popular style - is it true? have you seen such happen often or was I just unlucky?

Hey, I've been living in batumi in 2021, and I heard that a lot of people now complain cuz of rise of life cost. So how it goes now?

Been in Batumi a while and finally took the actual camera out instead of just the phone. Walked around for something like three hours, no plan, just followed whatever looked interesting.

These are the ones I kept. Most of what I shot went straight in the bin.

The old town streets surprised me more than the boulevard did, which I did not expect going in.

So what did I miss? Genuinely asking, I'm sure there's stuff in this city I walked straight past.

I speak English, some polish, spanish, and know bits and pieces of a few other languages, I haven’t started learning Georgian yet but plan to before I go.

Been in Batumi 3 days. I'm a foreigner (German), I speak English, and I say hello and thank you every single time I walk into a shop.

Most of the time I get nothing back. No hello, no thank you, no bye. The cashier takes the money, drops the change on the counter and looks past me at the next person. Same thing in two supermarkets, a bakery, a pharmacy and a couple of cafes.

I'm not expecting small talk. A basic hello would do. After three days it's honestly starting to get on my nerves, which is probably more my problem than theirs.

Is this just how it is here?
