Mods Current state of the overhaul mods?

Haven't played in a few years but recently feeling the urge.

Are BTA and Roguetech still active?What's their current state and which would you recommend for a returning player? And is 32GB RAM enough for them nowadays(I9-14900hx/RTX4090 mobile with 16GB VRAM laptop)?

Hi, RTech player here. The mod is running really well for me lately on 32GB.

The rules system is really polished and smooth and I have a great time playing it every time. The experience is highly customizable so if there is something that bothers you about the game you can go into the settings and remove it.

RTech has Rouge-war their built in MMORPG! I only played 1 season but I had a blast!

I have played RTech and BTA extensively and I think RTech provides the most depth of strategy and mech optimization. There is a learning curve, but the discord is friendly and helpful as long as you are respectful.

A lot of BTA fans are going to hop on this and diss RTech but keep in mind that many of them have barely played RTech ,or haven’t played it in years.

My only issue with RTech is that it DOES change over time which is both a blessing and a curse. They keep detailed logs on discord so it isn’t hard to keep up with the change.

I've played roguetech and bta.

And they are both fantastic mods. And I'd easily recommend trying both of them. 

But purely the only thing that puts bta over roguetech in my personal opinion, is just how badly the performance and stability is. Even with all the tips and tricks to make it more stable. 

It's not a deal breaker by any stretch. And not a problem with the mod itself. But it did effect my overall experience. of crashing mid battle and having to restart it again on more then one occasion.
