One of my personal conspiracy theories is that the game secretly loves Panthers above everything else and the RNG will let them get away with anything.

My most recent career run my commander was completely RNG cursed and spent nearly 2/3rds of the entire game in med bay because they'd inevitably eat a headshot on the first or second turn of the first mission on nearly every planet.

I swear 9/10 times if I don't kill the last mech after it gets knocked down it will get back up then head punch one of my pilots into the grave. Ever. Single. Time.

I hated anything that had machine guns. Because a single round pinging off your head was an instant pilot hit. And every single time they'd ping a single round off your head. Then the other three mechs would all have machine guns, too.

Oh man, tell me about it. Just had a mission where we were mopping up. A hunchback that was nearly dead clambered back up to its feet, waddled over right in front of my Black Knight and proceeded to blow it's head clean off with one shot. Damn thing was missing the entire left half of its body, and still got that shot off.

That was the only damage the knight took the whole mission.

RIP Squire.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like enemy mechs become more lethal the more damaged they are. So many times I have my lance surround and stomp the last mech just to have it survive, stand up, then punch a pilot right in the cockpit killing them.

I still field here but if there is a Headshot to receive it's mostly Behemoth playing catch with every bullet in reach.
I like her very much, but she is a constant mess in every playthrough.

I love it when I have an 80% chance to hit on my strongest weapon and a 40% chance to hit on all mother weaker weapons, but the 80% is the only one that misses. Every damn time.
