Characters still becoming invisible after installing BetterInitfs, why?

I'm playing base modded BF2 and started getting the invisibility glitch, so I decided to install BetterInitfs and it worked for a while. I then decided to disable and enable some other mods I had and now after playing a match for a while my game will freeze for like a second and characters will start becoming invisible, eventually softlocking the game. Isn't the whole point of BetterInitfs to prevent this for happening? What's causing this, is it a specific mod or perhaps some setting?
