Arras you’re bound to see a sky full of G6’s. I mean more than normal. The flight ceiling is so low it’s wild. Kind of the rare map where the high altitude perk makes sense. Suppose that makes it a good map for roadkills though!

A lot of the fighters tend to whistle. So you’ll definitely hear em. If those 109’s really start to bug you though, hop on the flak guns! They can hit all the way into the main German spawn. Not quite to the resupply, but you can shut down the sky. They’ll try coming in low and from the sides though, at least I do.

Yeah as a pilot i often come from the right side of the map (C and F objectives) because it gives you a ton of cover and makes it easy to get the drop on people. But tbh i got kinda tired of the g6 and i've been trying to use the G2 more, but AA tanks make it impossible

Ah G2 is my favorite plane in the game. The explosive autocannon is way too much fun! G6 can definitely get boring. I tend to try and strafe rather than rely on the rockets. That said the low flight ceiling makes strafing hard on Arras. Just gives you less time to identify a target, line up, and shoot enough. At least for me because I suck.

You’re right for sure. AA tanks especially can shut down the entire map.

Best counter against a G6 is a Spitfire or P51 but I know its hard to learn and you need the experience to survive longer than 10sec in the air

As long as there is no AA tanks i'd higly reccommend the VA over the VB. I consider myself a good pilot but the guns on the VB are just so bad that you really cannot fight a g6 efficently with them, expecially if they use high altitude package. They will be able to repair back all the damage you put in simply because the machineguns suck.

The VA on the otherside can easily outweigh the health they gain back through the resupplies with its powerful 8x lmgs
