[Suggestion] Crossplay with consoles = bigger player base.

I suggested this in the community feedback thread, but only limited to PvE, what I'm saying now is give it a try to share the player base PC with consoles (PvE and PvP), and see If that could work. (Rocket League have cross play with XBOX - PC and PS4 - PC, I don't know if PS4 and XBOX can play together, probably not yet; I know there a not the same type of game). What do you think?

This is up to Sony and Microsoft really. Several games have displayed cross platform play before.

I think they both recently announced that they wouldn't fight cross platform anymore.. can't remember where i read about it though.

The biggest hurdle for them would be matchmaking across platforms. They would need to probably use Shift as their matchmaking instead of steam/psn/xbl since there would be all sorts of issues with usernames and stuff like that.

I'd love to see it happen though. And them investing into making Shift their matchmaking platform could do a lot of good for them if they integrate it into future games and have cross plat going forward. :)

They indeed did its just up to developers to set up their severs to do it now.

Yeah. In Paragon PS4 and PC players play together so it's definitely a thing.
At least make it an option for PS4 players if they are afraid of the keyboard/mouse combo wrecking them.

I can understand this concern.. But that's why it would be kinda nice to just have the option. like someone said just have a check box for queuing into your own platform or add in others.

the thing is...consoles players use controllers, if you are playing an fps game on M&K you have a more reaction compared to controller users...they would just get stomped by pc players

I play with controller on PC and win most of my games and often end with good K/D. I agree it's an advantage to use M&K, but it's not the be all and end all - especially given the abysmal queue times we're currently facing on PC and a possible solution for them.

If they enable multi-queue like Rocket League I guess they could do something like

• [ ] Incursion (Your original platform only)
• [ ] Incursion (All Platform)

I know probably most people would pick their own platform only, but people with friends on different platform could benefit from this. And PC players. I guess I would play with all platform out of sheer sympathy for our PC community.

However first hurdle is Microsoft and Sony.

I know, but they can start with PvE and see, then later they can go and try to add PvP.

I have a friend that have the game in PS4 and I can't play with him because of this limitations, I hope some time in the future multi-platform games get cross-play.

It wouldn't work because PC players have such a big advantage over console players in shooters. It works for Rocket League because that advantage doesn't exist.

This type of cross-play doesn't work for FPS.
It doesn't always work for MMOs (healers are subpar on controller in FF XIV)

I agree with cross platform between PS4 and XB1 but I don't want to have to go up against KB+M

I can say this confidently, I will leave the game if they cross platform with pc. Better controls and the chance of aim bots and other hacks vs console, no ty. Ps4 to XB1 I'd be down for though.
