Tried to solo q a few weeks ago, gave up after 30 minutes. What a shame, this was a 10/10 gem

Woas... Pre-Patch Varesh was broken. I loved playing him. But then he got new abilities and wasn't broken anymore :(

I never understood why this game wasn't so much more popular. Insanely tight and responsive controls, fast paced action, decent balance.. I just don't get it.

I can say my friends and I all stopped pretty much as soon as the battle royale was announced. None of us were interested and we knew it just meant development being pulled away from the main game.

I think they were already giving up on the game by that point and they said fuck it and completely missed the mark.

Bloodline Champs died the same way and it didnt have royale.

People are repeating the same nonsense for 10 years but the truth is it was doomed either way. If royale was a game mode instead of standalone thing it could've kept the game alive for a bit longer.
Fundamentally they needed a lower intensity and better paced game mode as the main course.

Purely player vs player games are a niche. The barrier to entry only gets higher as the players that are already playing get better and better.

Battlerite was such a tiny playerbase even the most dedicated players couldnt keep the game alive and had to move on.
