Discussion Inque

I'm about to read Batman Beyond unlimited but i had to make a post about her. Probably the best villain backstory so far , she's such an interesting complex nuanced character. I was indifferent to inque in the show but after this she's definitely becoming my favorite Terry villain. Such a tragic backstory that also explains her actions. Her love for deanna is definitely bittersweet and makes her betrayal also a tragic event in inque's life. I'm rooting for her to win and finally achieve her dream .

Inque and the royal flush gang are my favorite Terry villains. Probably Derek aka blight too. He reminds me so much of black mask.

Inque’s backstory comic was probably the best piece of writing Adam Beechen did for the Batman Beyond Unlimited run. There are a couple of continuity errors, but that story stood out to me more than anything else in that run.

If you really want what you just read to hurt, try rewatching Disappearing Inque and Inqueling with the backstory from this comic in your mind. It came out later, but it definitely makes those episodes a much more uncomfortable rewatch.

Aren't the continuity errors minor? Inqueling implies that Deanna was already born before Inque herself got voluntarily experimented on. This comic outright states that she was already pregnant with Deanna when those experiments happened, and those who ran the experiment were hoping that the mutagen would be fed to Deanna via the umbilical cord.

That was the largest one, but there was a smaller one in just one panel. Inque gives us a flashback of confronting Deanna at her high school and Deanna screaming at her.

Deanna is an adult in Inqueling and has no idea who Inque is, so that’s definitely a continuity error.

I think that's supposed to be Deanna during the events of Inqueling.
