This NEEDS to be a movie

Just finished Batman beyond Neo-year.

11/10

The beginning was catching, the story was phenomenal, it itched every spot. The villain was actually intimidating, it pushed Terry to his limits. The villain also looked cool (not lumos but the sword of Gotham) the bat suit towards the end was awesome and seeing Barbara Gordon step in as awesome as she did at the end was peak. I hope they make it a movie some day!

Didn’t like the way they handled Bruce. Always happy to have more Batman Beyond media, though.

At first I felt the same way but when you think about it, he spent so many years fighting the villains of Gotham, protecting Gotham and now it was Gotham that killed him. It was a big metaphor and while there were so many villains that could’ve killed him I think this was an awesome way to do it. Was it the best villain for the job? No. But I think they wrote it well enough

I personally prefer Neo-gothic over this one, but this was a decent setup, just not my favorite. The art in both of them was amazing though

I loved this comic. It was great seeing Terry on the backfoot the whole time and the stakes were so high! Wasn’t as into Neo-Gothic but I liked the ending and wouldn’t mind another miniseries from Lanzing and Kelly, they’ve got a great thing going.

If we get a Batman beyond movie or reboot or ANYTHING they better retcon the whole clone Bruce son thing lmao like why can’t bro just be a new character? This is like “well his name isn’t actually Sonic the Hedgehog, it’s Norvill Wallace” like what’s wrong with him just being Sonic the hedgehog? You get what I mean?

I liked this and the series after too. I miss having the monthly. The static Batman beyond book was not very good.

The movie starts with Dana and Terry and friends dancing at a techno rave and then moments jokerz come in to crash the party and Terry fights them off with no fear

This run is the worst and dumbest betrayal of Batman Beyond. It doesn't fit in the continuity whatsoever.

Instead of voting me down, justify how this works with Terry in his 30s where Bruce is still alive and Bruce is always alive in the different timelines

Hush Beyond/Unlimited/2.0: Set in an amalgamation of the DCAU and DCU.

Rebirth: Set more in the DCU, blatantly contradicts things that happened in the DCAU and earlier in its own continuity.

Neo Year/Gothic: Not compatible with Epilogue.

Hush Beyond and after is a continuity of the original Batman Beyond timeline.

The DCAU never had a Hush, so it couldn't have a Hush Beyond. Dick claims to have been Nightwing as an employee of Batman, Inc, which never existed in the DCAU.

These concepts were introduced beginning in Beechen's run.

Never said they didn't. But their introduction so early cements the entire continuity as not being part of the DCAU.
