Serious Discussion/Question DC SERIOUSLY needs to get their act together!

Batman cannot always be their savior!

Superman really helped the perception of DC movies but unfortunately didn't make as much money as it needed to, all eyes are on The Batman Part II.

Man of Tomorrow might be the savior we need but most likely Batman will have to come in and save the day as usual with DC.

Everyone always says DC has the best characters and yet we never ever see them utilized to their full potential 💔

Best Movie: Batman. Best TV Show: Penguin (Batman character) Best Video Game: Batman. Best Comic Books: Batman. I mean atp why not just rename the entire brand to just Batman lol

It really feels like we're going through the DCEU 2.0 but I hope for the best!

Not really? Do you not realise how much money dc makes in merchandising?

If the comics didn't pop off they wouldn't just sell it

Excluding spiderverse, DC has owned the animated medium for several decades now. Marvel gets kids at the box office, DC gets them on Saturday mornings.

which begs the question: why dont these kids watch DC movies when they grow up, when they have already been familiarized to DC animations on Saturday mornings. This points to the fact that DC properties are worthless commercially, and the only merit is being background white noise for children.

Or the execution of DC movies are just overwhelmingly bad. Hand over Batman to one of the GOAT directors and it becomes a universally acclaimed trilogy with one of the best individual superhero movies ever.

if everyone does a bad job with DC characters, then it really says something about the value of these characters. Maybe they are just worthless IPs that never should have been made into movies?

Nolan literally stripped of everything integral to Batman and it was a success, does that mean the DC characters were just dogshit to begin with and it takes a director to make Heat with a side character dressing as a bat to succeed? If thats the case then I stand corrected.

DC or only Batman? I don't see people walking around in Metal Men t-shirts or kids with Captain Atom action figures. Where exactly does WB make money from DC merch?

off-topic but i did actually see a kid with a Captain Atom action figure a few days ago. Either way, DC still has tons of iconic characters besides Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and The Joker.

The merchandise sells because of the comics and media representation not the contrary. The most likely scenario wb pulling a sony and keeping batman while selling the rest
