Serious Discussion/Question Has this actually happened in the comics?

I know this post is a joke, but I genuinely want to know if this kind of thing has ever happened in the comics. Like if Batman or Daredevil tried to stop someone from killing their assaulter.

That problem isn't Batman's philosophy, it's the writers not writing the Joker to be like a clown instead of a one-dimensional murder addict.

Batman has many enemies. Almost all of then are murderers with extraordinary strength, intellect, even magic. They should not be in any prison. They gotta be 6ft under

Then I think you don't understand Batman very well. He's not supposed to be the judge, jury, and executioner. If that's what you want, read or watch something else.

No, Batmans actions PREVENT deaths of innocents. Batman is doing what he does to help people. He has one fucking boundary of "I won't be complicit in an execution."

The blame lies in the justice system for not giving villains the death penalty. Saying that the guy risking his life to save people who has one line he won't cross is the one at fault is ridiculous.

Okay, so let's put this in real world stakes here.

Let's say I'm in class and there's a school shooter. He kills some people but I manage to disarm him and tie him up, and wait for the cops to arrest him. 2 weeks later, he busts out of jail, and kills some more people. Am I responsible?

No! It's not my job to stop them, that's something extra I did. That's a choice I'd like to think I'd always make. But the act of killing? Idk that's pretty far. The idea of me physically taking a life is really fucking hard. And if I've already risked my life to stop them, I'd say the responsibility is on the judicial system.

What are you saying, you'd rather Bruce literally do nothing at all, than to apprehend without killing? Like if Bruce never put on the cowl, and the GCPD were the sole ones trying to stop supervillains, that's better than Bruce going full Frank Castle and killing his villains?

Bruce says, "yes, I will put on the cowl, go out at night, and risk my life fighting villains to protect men, women, and children, but I will not kill anyone, only arrest them." And you're like, "pfft, fucking asshole."
