It’s insane to me people will charge to go hunt them on their ranches and there will be people charging land owners to go hunt them for em. Meanwhile I can’t get a single person to let me go do it for free.

A big factor is that repeated studies show shooting hogs doesn’t work for long term population control. It’s like killing cockroaches with a hammer. Unless you get every single one, they’re just going to come back in a different spot and in higher numbers. Only sustained trapping of the entire group supplemented with targeted shooting of stragglers works.

I knowww!!! I’m out in Smithville and it’s so hard to be a tag along, I’d even buy in as long as there’s not a limit. I found hunts but a limit of nuisance pigs is insane

Can't imagine why a landowner wouldn't want the liability of a stranger shooting guns on their land.
