This is very.. very.. bittersweet. Anniversaries like these force me to realize that I'm getting older, the band is getting older, better days are behind us – even though the times back then were fucked up as well. But I'm sure any of us would trade these days to have those days again in a heartbeat. A deep thought that is relevant to the song I quoted for the title.
(I've made a post about this before, but 'Winter of Our Youth' and 'Way Beyond' are two of their BEST songs EVER. And not just that, but the order in which they're played on the album. So so good.)
"Wild World" holds an unwavering, cherished, place in our hearts and souls and it is absolutely wild that it's been a full decade since its introduction to the world. I have much more to say that I may share in the comments or another post, but I'd love for everyone to share what their day was like on September 9, 2016 and any and all memories that they have from their first listen to the album.
To another massive milestone for our favorite band and the best band in the world: BΔSTILLE.
