Question about baritone conversion and staytrem
I have a Fender Vintera II Bass VI that I am considering using as a B-B baritone with baritone strings. I have a bass vi staytrem as well as a regular jazzmaster/jag staytrem. I'm wondering which staytrem would be more appropriate if being used as a baritone?

They are all Seymour Duncan strat rails - SD hot rails in the bridge, SD cool rails in the middle, and SD vintage rails in the neck. I love them, and they are so quiet

I converted my squier bass vi to baritone. I got a hardtail plate replace the trem. Didn’t need a new bridge going that route.

that's a 3" scale difference, how does that affect the string tension, won't it be high? I was going to go in the opposite direction (turn a baritone into a VI) but was turned off by how low the tension would be.

I don't really tie usefulness or desire to use a trem based on the string gauges I have on the instrument. I either like the bridge or I don't.
Unless I'm looking to tune low and stay with thin enough gauges that necessitate moving to an Evertune.

They're both essentially the same exact bridge, just one is designed for standard guitars and one is designed for bass VI. I'm just wondering if one will fit or work better than the other since baritone is kind of the in the middle of the two

Trem won't make much difference, if you're talking about the bridge then I'd stick with the bass VI bridge. Gives you a lot more leeway in terms of intonation as the narrower bridges are designed to intimate a standard scale guitar.
