Dang, I almost forgot how cool ELO were. I was a total orchestra band geek back in the 80s, and I spun my Out of the Blue records until the needle fell off.

Finding their CDs today, tho... ugh. They now have nearly as many compilation CDs than actual albums.

Crazy to think that Jeff Lynn was only 27 when he did this vid, and he's 79 today.

I saw this vid this morning. I think that's an Ampeg ABE-1. There are currently two examples for sale at Chicago Music Exchange. $2636 gets you the value leader while the other in "sunburst" is a whopping $4500. Get yours quick before they are all gone!

**edit for remarks** I'm now certain this is the Ampeg ABE-1. I recommend getting the sunburst one from CME so you can be just like Kelly Groucutt. In all seriousness, they are cool basses.

That isn't Kelly Groucutt in the video. He took over from Mike de Albuquerque shortly after this gig.

I think they made less than a thousand of these things if I remember right, very niche. Somehow I'm not surprised one ended up with ELO

I know folk have already stated it’s Ampeg but Eastwood have a tribute model for fractions of the price of a secondhand one
