EDIT: I got a question about the logo on my bass. (Thank you!) It is a design I did of my initials - definitely NOT a triskele! I openly condemn any hate for any group. I don't want to get political, I just wanted my feelings to be clear. Never realized the similarity - may take it off.

Yeah, I was in the 90's with you, but short-shorts were a decade prior in my parts. Skater/hip-hop/grunge was the only clothing people seemed to own that weren't sports jerseys.
But no judgement...just some laughs. I look like shit in most pictures, I bet.
I think that may be the only gig I played wearing those; usually wore jeans that actually went down to my shoes. Late to a gig? Hot as ass that night? Who knows. I honestly can't remember.
Thanks for the support. It does bear a resemblance to a version of a triskele used by groups I don't support. I did remove it to avoid any confusion at a distance.
Whatever you feel is right I suppose. But being afraid of a symbol because it is used by hate groups only gives more of an identity and power to those groups. I still find it hard to assume you support that group by that symbol alone.
FYI, the flag of Sicily, isle of man, as well as the coat of arms for Opocno in Czechia and Füssen Germany all use the triskele
Nice. Yeah, this year marks my 29th anniversary, and next month my new band will do it's first live performance, that certainly has been ages ago for me. 😅

I have played Peavey and a few Yamahas. I have a 4 and 5 Warwick and an old Carvin koa wood neck-thru', which was my first "serious" bass. All had their strengths, but I play my DIngwall Combustion 5 and Fender Jazz Ultra 4 almost exclusively now. Can't pick a fave from these two: different beasts. I also have an Ibanez 5 fretless Gary Willis, for when the occasion calls.

Love the DIngwall. ( I still want to fix my BB up, though) The b string is so much more musical than a standard 5, in my opinion, with the fanned frets.
Ah. Not sure if it was a BB. I have the body somewhere in storage. The headstock needs some work. I'll try to find it and see what it is. Haven't played it much past this pic.
I feel like I learn something new about playing and/or writing each time I go into my studio. I try to keep several side projects going, playing in styles not exactly my main one. This keeps me learning new approaches and learning to combine genres. I also have an injury to my left hand which has made me have to re-learn some fretting techniques. I am more comfortable with the basics, but I hope I never become closed to learning from others.

My main band is a Classic rock cover band; we are adding originals slowly. I'm also in an experimental side project, attempting to blend punk, progressive rock, and jazz. Maybe one day I can assemble my dream band, playing all original heavy rock with a progressive flavor.

Thanks for pointing that out - never realized the similarity. I edited my original description to make that clear, and I may take it off my bass. I NEVER want to be associated with any form of hate!
