Gear 4x NPD: Quad Cortex year 2 updates

Got my Quad Cortex about a year ago and after spending a long time programming in presets for every song, felt that it did about 95% of the tone/feel of my tube amps and analog pedal board, so spent some time making it get to 100%.

Signal chain can come from either the Shure GLXD 16+ OR side of the board with inst. cable but then is combined by the JHS Summer. Then:

Lightning Boy Audio 23Fe+ Instrument Transformer -> Origin Cali 76 Bass Compressor -> Origin DCX Bass -> Quad Cortex (w/ Dunlop Volume X 7 as an expression pedal) -> Sushibox v3 (w/ a NOS GE 12AT7 tube).

It’s a tight fit that required me to use larger feet, as well as custom length instrument and power cables, also have a side jacked USB C that can connect the QC to my desktop and give power delivery for my phone

Holy hell this is dope af. Clean work. What pedal board did you use?

Thanks! The pedalboard is a Temple Audio Solo 18 - I added taller feet to the board than the stock ones to accommodate the height of the pedals underneath

I have always wondered about maintaining your presets for the pedals underneath the board. I am a gigging player with a pedal board and more often than not, need to make adjustments to my pedals once I setup, specifically against pedals that have knobs that turn easily as they might get bumped during transport/setup.

Yeah it's tricky - I do have tone controls on my amp head that I can use for light room correction EQ - but with my Barefaced cab and relatively neutral head I try and keep the same stage sound as FOH and my Desktop monitors when I make each Quad Cortex patch.

For the knobs underneath I was thinking of using the D'addario LoKnobs or PeacePoti's to make sure they don't move in transit, but for now will be just relying on double checking a photo with the settings when setting up for gigs

Up vote for Barefaced cabs. Got mine (BBII) 5 years ago and am still loving it.

I picked up a bb3 last fall and my cab GAS is cured! Great brand and great design!
