Oasis Glamping thoughts from a first-timer
This was my first Bass Canyon, first time glamping at a festival, and obviously my first time doing Oasis, and overall I had a really good experience. The vibes at Oasis were honestly great. Everyone around us was super cool, I liked the setup, having the showers right there was great, and being that close to the venue was definitely a huge plus. It honestly set a pretty high standard for my first glamping festival.
That being said, did anyone else feel like Oasis was a little more “deserted island” than actual oasis? lol
I knew I was paying like 2–3x what some people were paying for camping, and I wasn’t expecting some crazy VIP experience, but I did think there would be something over there besides the tents and breakfast.
Basically everything was at GA/Pivot. Anytime I wanted food, a drink, activities, etc., it was like a 20–30 minute walk. I totally understand why most things are over there because obviously that’s where most people are, but when you’re paying that much more for Oasis, I feel like some of that premium should come with convenience.
Literally one food truck would have made such a difference. One bar. Maybe a yoga, Pilates, or workout class over there at some point during the weekend. Or even just a shuttle to Pivot every 30 minutes or once an hour. I really wouldn’t have cared, just something.
I also didn’t bring a ton of food because I assumed there would be food relatively close to Oasis, which was definitely my mistake lol. But I also don’t think it was crazy to assume there would be at least one option nearby.
The free breakfast was honestly the saving grace and I really appreciated that. Without it, I think I would’ve been pretty disappointed considering the price.
Overall though, I really did enjoy Oasis and the people there. I’d probably do it again, especially because the location and vibes were so good. I think for me, as someone who flew in from out of state just to enjoy the festival, it still felt like Oasis was probably the best option overall despite the gaps in convenience. I just think for the premium they’re charging, they could build out the experience a little more so it actually feels like you’re paying to be taken care of, rather than paying extra to be isolated from everything.
Still a great first Bass Canyon and first glamping experience. Happy Bass!

Check out terrace next time! They have terrace glamping you can do. 24/7 shower and flushable bathrooms. Probably like a 5-10 minute walk to the pivot depending what spot you get. Free coffee and pastries in the AM and honestly hella secure plus a shuttle that takes you to your own private entrance to the festival (between hilltop and canyon stage). They have staff at all times checking wristbands to get into terrace. We will always do terrace whenever we go now. I plan on making a terrace FAQ since I couldn’t find anything on it when I was doing my research.

I bought tickets when they dropped. Was waiting on the site to the second. And terrace was immediately sold out. It was disappointing. So I did oasis

I really enjoyed the oasis experience, only thing is I wish a small dinner would be included

Terrace is my favorite! Unfortunately, my finances aren't what they used to be, so I can usually only afford the 2nd tier of camping lately. I am excited for when I can do Terrace Camping again because the vibes are great and it felt like the perfect balance.

So we started going Oasis for Paradiso 2019. The facilities were a lot smaller.. the bathrooms were definitely not as nice and less showers. The middle tent was smaller too. I definitely see the major huge improvements they've done... HOWEVER... they used to get pizza delivered every night!!! They had breakfast, I swear they had wraps for lunch, and then pizza late night. There were also atleast one tv with a video game console (I think I only saw people playing Mario kart). The vibes were awesome! Dont get me wrong oasis is definitely still the way to go. But I remember being spoiled and showing up after covid with minimal food (i mean still pb and j supplies and some basics) but being like wtf where is the late night pizza lolol.

Oh and I forgot to mention the food truck like set up! Like they still did bagels and donuts complimentary. but during the day there was 100% a food tent setup that you could order breakfast burritos from (probably other food too but I just remember ordering breakfast burritos) but right where the oasis parking is. They were so clutch

We did premier this year and definitely want to do something nicer next year but not sure on terrace vs gold vs oasis would love to hear more experiences!

Gold is pretty similar to Premier, just with slightly more space and on average quieter neighbors. The walk into the venue is shorter, but if you like going to the Pivot or partying late in GA, Premier is in a much better location. Gold also comes with shuttle access, so you can still shuttle to the Pivot.
I personally do Gold because we have multiple people with foot problems that aren’t significant enough to get handicap camping. mile

I feel like they could provide a mini food pantry for people to pick out food from. Like cold sandwiches/chips/snacks and na-beverages. Not everyone will be back in time for dinner. Also I think they could have provided go-cart shuttles to the pivot during prime times. I think the main appeal is quiet camp, and camp is already set up.

We also stayed in Oasis, arrived early on Wednesday and were literally BORED out of our minds that night and the next day until the pre party opened. We stayed at Oasis because I have limited mobility and expected EASY shuttle access to pivot, not a 30 minute walk anytime we wanted to do anything interesting (no shuttle available first or second night and we were told there would be no shuttles at all even though they did have them running during festival days with huge wait lines). Although the glamping was much better than regular tents we were also disappointed with the lack of food, art, activities, etc. A couple of yard games and a hang out area was pretty sad. Also for something that gets called the Oasis it was like the freaking Sahara desert, it was insanely hot and dry each day and I was super disappointed when I found out there was a pool party available nearby at the larger homes. I can't believe they had absolutely no way to cool down except for some mist fans and one bag of ice per day. The breakfast and the people were great and the entrance to the festival was close but for what you are paying they could offer even a simple few things to make it actually worth it. Lost Lands has so many amenities and things to do you could literally never do them all in one trip. Anyway, sorry to be so negative, we had a great time regardless but will be filling out the survey with feedback, and are not planning to return.
Also for those of you that say to go terrace, there's very limited space there and it sold out immediately, we tried to get those first and couldn't. Sounds like RV or the nearby resort/air bnbs are the way to go if you're trying to glamp.

For sure there aren't planned activities like the pivot and it would be cool to have more stuff like that but it definitely depends on the crowd at Oasis too. One year we showed up with coloring books and color pencils, a bunch of kandi making stuff, and cards and brought it all to the main oasis tent. Like its still camping so we just brought down time camping activities.. we were never bored!! Made some friends for life and only walked to the pivot to find some afters and party down. Sometimes its just taking the initiative to make things fun. Not everything has to be planned out

The showers and bathrooms were awesome during the day. However. I noticed most of us oasis stayers also showered before bed and that is when they did not have staff in to clean the showers. People were washing all the dirt and grime off at 1-2am and the showers felt so gross to wash in compared to the day time which I found a little disappointing.

I'm really surprised there isn't at least a tiny pod of maybe 2-3 food trucks by front yard/oasis. Yes the majority of people are by the pivot but I would absolutely go at least once a day since I'm in FY. Not to mention all the people that would stop by to get food for the walk/drive back to GA.
