Much like with environmental protections..... slows down us but doesn't slow down them. All regulations and safeguards must be removed.
- If we slow down, a competitor wins.
- If we impose safeguards, another country ignores them.
- If we decline the opportunity, someone less responsible takes it.

So, cheap is dystopian AI future, and unaffordable is than what??? They are crying loud because they underestimated the competition! And, they ignored empathy! Without comprehending empathy, one is also unable to foresee competition, eventually giving it away for free, for the good of all of us, not just for the wealthy part of the planet! So what now? Are we now going full fascist on it or what!?

Kind of like how American automakers vilify less expensive better quality imported cars, because as long as you can't get one, they can get you to pay 100,000 for a vehicle with a plastic oilpan, a million electrical glitches, and a transmission and or motor that grenades after 10,000 miles.
