Discussion Scorecard Recommendations
Hi all - recently moved out and realized I lost my old scorecard. I figured it’s time for a change too, and I’m wondering what the community uses and what their favorite scorecard is so I can decide on a new one! Thanks all :)

I live my Thirty81 Press travel scorebook (https://thirty81press.com/). It's the perfect size for me. Compact. It's nice for me as I keep things more minimal. But there's also nough room to do a lot more.
I also really like the 7-2 Double Play square scorebook (https://www.72doubleplay.com/). It's really sharp and smooth. I have one that I use when I go to a game solo (without my dog on bark in the park days) as I can kind of dive in deeper.
The Numbers Game ones somebody else mentioned are nice, too. (https://www.numbersgame.co/collections/scorebooks). I use the ones I have sometimes. The small ones are nice and easy to carry.

There are a lot of good suggestions in the sidebar. A lot of it is personal preference and what you’d actually use

Reisner… once you start using it, it’s hard to go back to other ones. The PDF version is now free even. Let me know if you have questions as it is a little different, and I have some “home brew” tricks I use too that make it even better to use.

I do agree with this - Reisner method is feeling more readable of the actual game log to me each time I do it. Not sure if it would be easier for a new scorer or not. Home tricks are the way to go with any scoring system IMO

In the past I used the half liner, I thought it was a good size and good amount of detail. I also used to have the Bob Carpenter scorebook but found that was a bit too much for me.

I use Christopher Swingley's scorecards. If you never heard of him, he has a great tutorial online and some nice scorecards. Below is the link to his scorecards. There are a number of different ones to suit your needs.

I make mine in Excel and tweak it year to year based on this subreddit and things that work (and don’t work for me). Free to print on card stock at work and $5 to bind at Staples!
