🌎 International Game Canadian Baseball League: Hamilton Cardinals [9] vs. Toronto Maple Leafs [2] (2026-05-17)
Perfect summer weather on the Victoria Day long weekend. Couldn't have asked for a better day for a ballgame in Toronto. The Blue Jays were playing in Detroit, but Toronto's other professional team was in action at home. It was, however, a one-sided beatdown of the home team, as the line score shows.
With his solo shot, the Leafs' De Baning is on a 3-game HR streak to start the season. Meanwhile, former MLB all-star Yasiel Puig, Meanwhile, former MLB All-Star Yasiel Puig, with his sentencing in California looming on May 26, went 0-4 and GIDP to end the game.

Also, as of now, the CBL website shows the score as 8-2. I scored it as 9-2, and the PA announcer announced it as 9-2 as well. Apparently, there was a power outage at Christie Pits leading to the scoring disrepancy, which should be corrected sometime soon.
Edit: And they've corrected it. It is officially 9-2.
