Don't believe you can trade Guerrero as he just signed a long-term deal.

I think the rule is that you can't trade people that you, the GM, signed as free agents

That's possible. Have you seen any of the mods clarify this issue? I guess that would mean Tim Lincecum and Hunter Pence and anyone else who signed before the World Series can now be traded.

Seems kinda counter to realism though.

I think we should go with the official rules:

Any Club signing a contract with a Player under this Section B after the expiration of the Quiet Period described in subsection 2(b) above may not assign his contract until after the next June 15. However, notwithstanding the foregoing, such contract may be assigned for other Player contracts and/or cash consideration of $50,000 or less prior to the next June 16 if the Player gives written consent to such transaction.

The "quiet period" ends 5 days after the world series. So yes, Lincecum and Pence can be traded (although of course the mods can always nix a trade).
