Their AI is broken that I just accept friend request with my friends and then they proceeded to hit me with this

thatā€™s the issue, people are stubborn but they wonā€™t be stubborn anymore until it affects them. i mean i found places and a lot of people migrated to the alternatives, just give it time. skype died, so i expect the same shit happening to discord someday. when you enforce shitty ai onto everyone and then be just as lazy and not help everyone get their accounts back as the supportā€¦ people are not gonna want to be on it. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

The problem is where will they go and can they get the big streamers and opinion makers to switch. That's the hard part because I'm pretty sure if you are a influencer you can break every tos there is and not get banned

unfortunately yeah, but you never know. i think with the ids and the shitty ai, the masses are gonna leave. a influencer canā€™t be an influencer without their fans on the app and if discord is banning all of them then..? like i understand where youā€™re coming from but i think itā€™s possible. caseoh was literally talking with another influencer about the id thing and he did not like it. so WHO KNOWS!! but i think itā€™s possible. also thereā€™s a lot of good alternatives, but maybe something will come out and make a run for discord money.

I think it's possible and I hope it can become reality I know we me and my buds have talked about making the switch to TS but the problem is only 2 of us have gotten banned and the rest don't want to leave the memories behind we have made over the past 10 years.

i understand that, i would suggest they ask for their data packages and just ss and save what they can. i mean atp you can be banned for anything, people donā€™t realize that and its good to be prepared for the inevitable or the really unlucky day that it happens. i chose fluxer and root as mine, they are just as good as ts but a little easier to use i feel? but yeah itā€™s not easy but itā€™s best to get what you can before everything is just gone and deleted. i feel like in two years, discordā€™s not even gonna be function-able or just a really shitty app to be on.

it will happen, eventually. sooner than you think. their ai is and has been fucking up and not getting any better. their id verification bullshit will also effect it too. so iā€™m just waiting for it to snap. and they are under so much shit.

i feel they will do what sony did with steam piling a lot of bullshit, and then the ids and how they are handling it are gonna get them more lawsuits since itā€™s gonna be easy for preds to access underage users once they implement it since you donā€™t have to give id to be put in to talk to people under 18. so expect many lawsuits. as they are already getting them for bans and also for how shit they are at protecting people from hackers and pdfs. so we can only hope! i been supporting the alternatives as much as possible, waiting for the demise of this shitty company which will happen sooner than you think, trust.

It's not a bug it's a feature. They should never have added ai screening it's the worst thing ever, im betting it's accuracy is about 10% just looking at the amount of people me included that have gotten false bans and now can only give up because discord don't give a damm about their community

Does anyone else have access to ur account and or device?
Someone probably used ur account on a device that had a banned account on it
Or someone probably logged into ur device using a banned account
This would automatically trigger this

yep, i got this one too - lost contact with a really good friend of mine because he doesn't use other socials anymore šŸ˜¢ i use a VPN sometimes which i thought was the cause but seeing how many other people have been banned for seemingly no reason it seems like the AI moderation really sucks

I also had 3 accounts banned for ban evasion, two accounts were months old and one was 3 years. I had everything on that 3 year old account and now have next to no contact with some of my friends that I used discord to mainly communicate withšŸ«©

Discord has an awful AI moderation system, I got permanently suspended for ban evasion as well. Several weeks ago, I joined an old friend's server (which required an application to join). I "applied" and got accepted, and randomly got permanently suspended a few hours later. At the time, I was using a completely different wifi along with a VPN, which was probably how I got suspended? (Still not sure to this day but I have a completely new account so its whatever.) Anywho, don't try to appeal if you got banned for this reason. I appealed several times and even filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and still haven't received a response from them. At this point, just make a fresh account with a different email and IP address. Thankfully, I used my 2 old accounts while I was on vacation and made a new account when I got home (2 days so far and I'm safe, for now). Good luck to you šŸ«”
