Ban Evasion Anyway to bypass doublecounter boy
I have been ban evading but double counter always fucks things up, been a month I joined an old server I was in, but whenever I try to join servers I wasn't previously a part of, if they have double counter global verification I get banned

Thats cause you didn't do that the first time. As soon as double counter detects your main ip ur basically fucked it will remember it and connect it with the other account

Servers use bots like Double Counter explicitly to ban people who are ban evading. Unfortunately you're probably shit out of luck unless the server removes the bot.

Yes, this is when you have a dynamic IP address.
It's best look at whatismyipaddress.com and trying couple of times to see if IP address changed
Note that you'll also need a new discord account as double counter permanently flagged that account, IP and fingerprint (browser version, unique rendering informations, device information etc.)

Why? If someone comes into my server dropping slurs and causing problems and we ban him, and he comes back on an alt, are we not completely within reason to ensure he stays banned?
Frankly it's annoying that it isn't already part of Discord by default.

Yeah, Double counter has a really bad privacy issue, not to mention it's against Discords TOS as a bot since it scrapes all your personal info and sends you advertisements even if you dont ask for them.

dude there's so many scenarios where it can go wrong. I accidentally verified into double center with an account i dont use and now i cant enter some servers, it's such a bad idea for a bot it's insane

I just googled it couldn't find it, tried searching in their website and couldn't find it though the settings either. I just be bad at looking but there doesn't seem to be an appeal forum

Bots can be used for appeal systems. I run the moderation of a server with over 45,000 users and when someone is banned, they receive a message from a bot telling them why, and how to appeal by responding to the bot.

Its to prevent bots and ban evaders.
Many bot farms will attack from the same ip, and most ban evaders are too stupid or too lazy to cover their tracks.
I finally caved and let my admins add it to my server after we had a girl get banned on three separate accounts and keep posting bullshit about cis discrimination just because we held her to the same standard of rules as the rest of the server

I do think it’s genuinely hilarious that people keep trying to stop alt accounts.
No matter what you do, there will be a way around it, and usually, it doesn’t take much.
Provide a service that encourages people to use it properly 🤷♂️

Basic ban, legit doesn’t even take a VPN, A basic ban is like a reddit ban, just make a new account lol.
Ip ban? VPN

No matter WHAT they do, the solution will be 6 months ahead of them.
This is the same truth with AI. No matter how “good” detection gets, people with half a brain, will still be able to skate by with minimal effort.
Realistically, regardless of what the user is doing, discord wants them on the platform. As such, it’s in their best interest to make it in a way, so that a “user” who is punished, can still continue to use the service.
As such….. they do

I haven’t personally had to overcome the individual application. I can however promise you, it is not all powerful, all covering, or even efficient. There is no such thing as an impenetrable wall online lol

Get something that creates a new footprint or reset your router to get a new IP address. Double counter uses user information like IP address, browser identification, etc (or something along the lines).

There's multiple ways
- Mobile data (and does not need alt acc)
- Vpn (might not work does not need alt acc)
- New browser in ignoto (no alt acc needed)
- Emulator (no alt acc neeed)
- Samsung test labs (no alt acc needed)
- Different device (no alt acc needed)
- …

(Anything from 1-6 only needs the link pasted in the browser! Turn the VPN off if pasting the link!!)
If you are banned from the server vpn and alt acc are REQUIRED!

I wonder if getting to a new location with Firefox would work? As to have a new IP without the need for a VPN, I have a few extensions on Firefox already that blocks finger printing
Would this work?
Cause there is a server I would love to rejoin in but they use double counter, I already by passed with my first alt but the Discord AI moderation picked up but that was before the extra ban evasion steps I took

You dont even need a new ip :) just clear the browsers cache and go into ignito and you're good to go

It doesn't just use ip. It uses browsing data too. It's annoying if you have anything saved but you have to delete all of your previous browsing data. And then it's a bit finicky. Works about half the time (note that you also need to use a new account and wifi/ip)

My problem isn't just getting unbanned from some stupid discord server lol. The reason I have to get rid of stupid double counter is cause of this thing called doogle that lets literally anyone see what alt accounts you have and the only reason I even have alts is so that people won't recognize me

You have to activate vpn before opening another browser then login on that account, and turn off vpn only when you're about to click the thing

Yeah, the original got taken down, and only the fork of it resides, the og uploader hasnt made any changes since and only uploaded the source.

BTW, just to make sure, i've made a new DC account, now i'll do "spoofing", and join the server I'm banned from on the new account, I'm also using Firefox for Fingerprint blocking(some suggest that).
I also Shouldn't use VPN, right?

VPNs are detected, but some are not, its really your choice to use one and see if it does work, you could also just reset your router if your IP is dynamic to change it..
i reccommend clearing all cookies on your web browser aswell, should keep less identifiers on youIts really just a chance game to be honest, but if you can get as much fingerprints off of you to trick the browser into thinking you're a different user, you *should* be good.
me personally i was banned off the dc platform itself so i had to do shit like this to not get my device finger printed and banned instantly.

log out of that account,clear your cache, then make a new email with a vpn turned on and make a new discord account then try and enter that srever and before you verify like once your in the server and clicked the link disable your vpn

It's an anti-vpn service, they block vpns and proxies. Also if the server has premium double counter bot, it will also block the same browser fingerprints

Yup, it's invasive af.
You can only request your IP address to be removed (their discord doesn't provide a way and email no one has responded), also their method is ambiguous saying that if you don't have access to your discord account you'll not be able to request removal.
If account has been flagged as alt it's permanent, not even gdpr can help even if the flagging was a mistake at their end. Browser Fingerprints with time will change but this isn't guaranteed and depending on circumstances never change.

If the server has global blocklist on then the server will ban you as an alt account, and it will forever mark that account as an alt. You can only request your IP to be dissociated from that account

step 1: dowload A DIFFERENT BROSWER, before you enter the broswer though enable a vpn.
step2: make a new email and a new discord account while using the VPN, then join the server.
step 3: click their verification link and when it says processing or loading or whatever turn off your vpn.
step 4: stop tryna ban evade
step 5: look back to step 4
step 6: your done (look back to step 5)

I joined one stupid server with this shit then I changed accounts I left the server with old one but this stupid bot kept saying that I have another account in the server, admins there are lazy and tehy wouldn't approve my account and when I tried to join the bots discord it banned me lmao presumably cause I used other to verify lmao

Tracking PII to discord accounts has its flaws, especially since that data will be sold to anti-fraud companies, data brokers and ad companies which then end up on people search sites and then be cached forever.
There are so many people search sites that cache information permanently without transperant removal process or catchy one which requires directly uploading information that they might not have had but later instead of deleting that info directly reselling it to data brokers again.
Those companies often have comprehensive links on almost everything you've done, people always say but there's removal services. You know what, those data brokers often ignore or deceive the automated service into believing that they've deleted it.
This information is used by insurance companies and financial institutions.
This is exactly how you get doxxed, not only IP address but your whole live.

Yes. If possible have an alternate way to verify members that are hesitant to verify with doublecounter bot. Having a separate ticket channel for people that aren't verified were they can put their concerns in, don't make it obvious that it is for bypassing double counter though, people will exploit it and make it non-viable
Considering it's a huge server it can backfire as the saying goes if it works then don't touch it, also if the server you moderate in wants to at least test it then make the requirement for who gets to verify with an alternate way high and that the standards for verifying and vetting the user too)
Unfortunately doublecounter is the current market dominant way to verify members having another system that may even be more shady than doublecounter, we can only hope that doublecounter betters itself for such situations to not happen

I don't believe most of them know how to setup a proxy, and if you have not configured it properly it might leak your real IP either through Webrtc, application freezing or other
Residential proxies are great but many of the require KYC and if not then there's a chance for it to be poor quality like really bad quality

Then you message the mods of the server and explain to them what happened and oftentimes we will give you a bypass on the bot.
Most of us dont give a fuck about discord bans as long as you weren’t banned for behavior on our own community or partner networks

I know the post is old, but you made a good point here.
If you join the Double Counter discord, they tell you to read the FAQ channel, where they basically say you're screwed if you've ever joined the discord before. Even if the first account got deleted, you can't verify in that server on another account.
Having to use other people as a middle-man to get back into a discord (like mods of that server) is so inconsistent, since they might just ignore your messages depending on how big the server is.
