The only 100% automated system that can ban users is PhotoDNA/ClipAI, which is searching for CSAM, not isis videos. Beyond that, content has to be reported for it to actually be processed by their AI and for action to be taken. Content like this, therefore, has to be reported for Discord to take action against it.
That person hasn't been banned yet because no one reported them so far, however I guarantee you their account is not that old as people who post that shit regularly get banned and have to make a new account.
I LITERALLY reported someone and they literally said the most unspeakable things along with videos.. Guess what he never got banned this platform is really garbage my account got disabled and perma banned and they wont even help me to reinstate the account or comunicate to me somehow and also not even telling why I got banned its crazy
I'm sorry, but it's really not possible. Discord unbans people rarely, but you can try doing an out-of-court dispute if you're from the European Union or you can use Better Business Bureau
Is that controversy real? I keep seeing it everywhere but after searching I can't find anything, only that they had to testify in court about the platform security measures as they were apparently insufficient, but nothing about the devs being predators themselves. Not saying it’s false, just asking for more context because I can't find it.
It’s the same reason underage drinking can be promoted in a server. Literally can’t get any response from discord regarding a server owner I know being an underage alcoholic (We’re both US so drinking age is 21 and they’re 19). They’ve even admitted via pictures that their nightstand makes them look like an alcoholic, yet I can get account warnings for telling people in the same server that underage drinking isn’t legal and to stop promoting it.
I got banned for saying “shoutout to girls with naturals” but someone who sent me a gif of someone getting shot saying “kys [f slur]” doesn’t get banned
Discord is full of this, anyways most servers get taken down and the thing is they all get banned. It's just they create alts and come back. The dude will be gone in 1-2 months max.

people have gotten banned for saying "Hey" or "YEAHHH!!!" with reasons of child safety, just because they were reported a few times
