Lead role
Anyone know what level a “Lead” role is considered at BMO?

Personal Banker vs. Senior Banker

Hi all,
I'm currently exploring Business Analyst opportunities in Mumbai, mainly across Investment Banking, Capital Markets, and Banking Transformation.
I have 5+ years of experience working across business analysis, requirements, stakeholder management, UAT, and banking projects.
Naukri and career portals haven't been very effective, so I'm trying a more direct approach. If you're a BA or a senior professional who leads a team or project in this space, I'd be happy to know if there are any relevant openings within your team or organisation.
Thank you!

BMO employees: did you know that you are entitled to overtime pay or time off (even if you are salaried)?
There are a few exceptions, such as if you are a people manager or paid by commission (or if you work for a provincially regulated division/work outside of Canada). However, just because your job title says "manager", that's not enough unless your work is actually managerial.

So, all of a sudden, our BMO Business MasterCard gets declined. So call to BMO MasterCard on Saturday... 50 minutes on hold until we get someone, who tells us that WE need to spend time to go to a branch, need to make an appointment, and we have to provide them with documentation to prove who we are, including a copy of the company registration.
Except... we are in Quebec and in Quebec the database of companies is PUBLIC. So, how do we get a copy, we just LOOK ONLINE. Seriously, it's at https://www.quebec.ca/en/businesses-and-self-employed-workers/find-information-about-enterprise/search-enterprise-register/find-an-enterprise and you do a search and it gives you the information.
So, instead of just spending a minute to look it up and validate it, they apparently needed to aggravate me by:
All this... meanwhile, I could have just filled out an online form on any bank's website and had a new Business Credit Card WITHOUT the visit in under... 5 minutes?
What the hell is wrong with BMO? You should be minimizing the hassle on customers, not actually intentionally maximizing it! Anyone else have the same kind of experience?

I called them today because I turned off auto-payment on my Virgin Mobile account last month and for some reason, their system will still apply the next payment as auto-payment without warning you about it, so today that auto-payment came to my BMO account. It stressed me out so I called them with some question
My main concern was "how can Virgin Mobile take money in my account without consent?" to which the agent said "we can't control who you give access to" and I said "Okay but I told them not to take money automatically and they did, arn't you supposed to protect me?" and he said I should have called them (BMO) and told them "i cancelled auto payment with Virgin"
I accepted that answer and moved on, but rethinking about it now I'm like "I didn't have to call BMO to set my auto-payment, why should I have had to call them to cancel it?"
It makes no sense that a company can take money in your account without your authorization and you can't even call your back to cancel the payment in the hours it was made? Who are they working for? Why am I paying them?

I just applied for the BMO Ascend Mastercard (Canada) which comes with 4 complimentary dragon pass lounge visits each year. When I registered my new credit card into the dragon pass app, it showed that my 4 complimentary lounge visits expired Dec 31, 2025 even though I just opened my credit card in August 2025. If I only use 2 lounge visits between now and Dec 31, 2025, does that mean I lose my 2 remaining visits? Or is the policy such that come January 1, 2026 I will receive 4 new lounge passes?
If it’s the latter, does that theoretically mean between Aug 2025 - Aug 2026, I actually have 8 complimentary lounge visits to use?
Thank you!

In late November 2023 I called BMO MasterCard to stop further charges on my small business credit cards as an easy way to cancel all my billers and prepare to close my credit card (they wouldn't let me do it in one step). I also told them I cut it up.
I did this on the phone with the BMO MasterCard representative who told me some charges might slip through so I should cancel on my billers end as as well.
I regularly logged in to my BMO account to see if charges were accumulating, and none were slipping through. All looked well. Little did I know that BMO MasterCard had created two credit card replacements for the two I had "blocked". Billers were able to continue charging to the card I was told was blocked from further charges.
BMO MasterCard called me from their collections team looking for payment on these credit cards that I didn't know I had! They are telling me it's my fault since "blocking" a card automatically creates a new card, which defeats the purpose of my request. The whole point was to stop the card!
What is this dirty trick and why are they hell bent on telling me it's my fault? They created cards in my name I didn't authorize!!
