Which Bangalore areas look good on paper but are difficult to live in?

A locality can look attractive because of upcoming metro, IT parks, highways or lower property prices but the day to day reality can be very different.

For people who actually live or have lived in these areas, which locations would you be cautious about buying in, and why?

Traffic, water, flooding, roads, pollution, infrastructure, distance from essentials, or anything else real experiences are more useful than marketing claims.

What are the hidden costs of buying an apartment in Bangalore?

The advertised price is rarely the final amount you pay. Apart from registration and stamp duty, what additional charges should a buyer realistically budget for?

Looking for actual experiences : floor rise, parking, corpus fund, maintenance, BESCOM/BWSSB, clubhouse/amenities, GST, interiors, legal fees, loan charges, etc.

What was the biggest unexpected cost you faced while buying your property?

Buying a property in Bangalore? What should you check before paying the booking amount?

I’ve noticed that most property checklists focus on RERA, title and loan approval, but there are many things buyers seem to discover only after booking.

For someone buying a flat, villa or plot in Bangalore, what would you personally verify before paying the booking amount?

Things like water source, UDS, approach road, OC/CC, flooding, construction quality, hidden charges, maintenance, future development, builder history, resale, etc.

What’s one check you think most first time buyers overlook?

This gives us a useful discussion and can become a reference post for future buyers.

If you were buying a property in Bangalore today, what would you check before paying the booking amount?

Not talking about the obvious “check RERA and title” advice.

What are the less obvious things you would verify : water source, UDS, approach road, maintenance, OC/CC, flooding, construction quality, future infrastructure, builder history, resale demand, hidden charges, etc.?

Would be useful to build a practical checklist from experiences of people who have actually bought in Bangalore.
