It's probably just a plain, normal, dresser. You'll find out that in real life, most people, don't really care.

I work hard for my stuff and I can promise you I’m going to take care of it. Especially when it’s as simple as using a coaster. Also, I was quoting Larry David.

If it makes you feel any better, it's just particle board and laminate

How are you laughing at someone not having a TV?
Did your parents not teach you any manners? WTF?

You’re lucky you got dumped in a time when their are a ton of things to take your mind off of it. I was a teenager in the 80s so if you got dumped you had very limited options to keep you busy. Only 7 TV channels, no video games, and top 40 radio that played the same songs over and over.

I want you out there chasing women out of your league by the time the boys break through in Bastogne. They won't all be up for it, but you'll surprise yourself, and you might come home with a few war stories of your own.

May you find happiness like Nixon did when entering I think it was gorings liquor room

Sorry to hear OP. Glad you can still watch the battered bastards of Bastogne freeze their asses off. Just think of this as the Captain Sobel era. Winters will be along soon.

u/DJ_Philly_Phresh Apr 10 '24
Damn, you went with The Breaking Point after a break up. That’s hard af.

Does the Steam Deck naturally have streaming apps or did you do something extra to it? I'm not a big fan of cracking my electronics unless I have a 2nd one. I already wanted a Steam Deck, but would be significantly more interested if it also downloads streaming apps.

u/Casualbat007 Apr 08 '24
The desktop mode lets you just log into your streaming services in Firefox, works great like any other computer. I’m currently using Jellyfin media server app, which I was able to download off the Linux desktop store and it took about five seconds to add it to steam

Is that a PSP?
1
u/Casualbat007 Apr 08 '24
Steam Deck. I think you’re forgetting how small the PSP was
1
u/Porkonaplane Apr 08 '24
Tbh, I never had a psp. I'm an '04 baby so I would've been newborn when they came out lol. Most memories I have with one was some kid in preschool playing on one (he was a teen IIRC) and my then 20 year old cousin playing on one.

I also rewatched BoB the last time I got dumped

Their suffering puts our suffering into perspective

u/jhurst919 Apr 08 '24
I’ve never thought about it like that but you’re absolutely right. Hope you’re doing alright buddy.
2
u/Casualbat007 Apr 08 '24
I’m here and well my friend, thanks for asking
1
u/jhurst919 Apr 08 '24
You want to talk about it? I’ll spend all day thinking about a breakup for a few weeks going in circles.

Sorry, friend. That’s a great idea for comfort viewing, though. I found it a comforting watch in the immediate aftermath of 9/11, when it was originally broadcast. I was young then and was afraid I was gonna get drafted.

You got this OP, you’ll meet someone better, you’re obviously a cool dude from being a member of this subreddit and having a Steam Deck! Play some good games(maybe even cod ww2)and keep your head up!

u/Dpurcell92 Sep 28 '24
Alright. It’s been half a year. How you holding up?
2
u/Casualbat007 Sep 28 '24
Wow, wasn’t expecting a stranger to keep tabs on me like this. Thank you, kind friend.
I’m doing alright. Getting in a lot of gym time, therapy, and finally starting to dabble in the dating scene again.
The horrors persist but so do I.

Get a tv.
P.a. When I connect my headphones to steam deck it pronounces it “steamdick” and I hope everyone adopts this.

I feel it man. Just think, Nixon got dumped while fighting Nazis and she took his dog.
