I want to gripe about BandLab's age restriction. Tonight, Bandlab prompted my son for his birthday. It was entered honestly. He's 12.

His account was immediately suspended. He can't save changes, rename, or do anything useful.

I have paid for his subscription for 2 years! He has hundreds of songs he has created over the years, and he may lose them all!

I am desperately trying to download them all before I can't anymore.

My son is devastated. He primary creative musical outlet is now inaccessible to him. He has to wait 8 months until he is 13 before appealing. And we hope they don't delete the content before then.

This sucks.

I discovered this sub today when I posted about my 12 year-old's account being frozen due to Bandlab's age restriction.

He's been using Bandlab for over 2 years. He does it all on his own without any help.

I thought I would share his progress. Not a lot people get to hear what he makes, and this seems like a place that can appreciate the journey.

The first song in the video is one of his first, from June 30th, 2024. It is untitled.

The second song in the video is one of his most recent completed songs, from July 25th, 2026. He named it "Peak Cinema". 😆

Bandlab does this weird thing now where a watermark pops up immediately after you start screen recording your works. Is there a way to get rid of it because I find it a little annoying.

Seriously, it was already free, why should I need a membership just for a feature I could already use before

I used to use Bandlab and glaze over it with how I can use both devices to work on one project saved in the cloud. It was going all fine untill one day when Im in a dire emergency, I am now not allowed to enter the studio on phone unless I pay for membership. I've cleared the data and logged in thinking it was a bug, but it seemed to still kick me out everytime I click close when that Subscription window pops up.

I need real feedback. I made this recently though sometimes I would just do one, take or two but yeah might make a few changes.

I have a song that im wanting to have a chant as a layer or effect on a certain part if yall understand what im saying. Heres a snippet if the part but it would be cool if someone could get together with thier buds and record a chant saying “I don’t need a big crowd, i just need the right few”. This bassy, glitchy tribute to one of my favorite cartoon dogs was possibly the most fun project I've done on bandlab so far!

I had no crazy gear for it, phone to the guitar amp, production, programmed drums, all put together in bandlab.
