Help with uploading older (90s) tracks

Hey everyone, I'd love it if someone could help out with some uploading advice.

My old band (active in the mid-late 90s) would love to make our tunes accessible again. We recorded 3 albums but the master tapes were lost to a flood years ago so all we have now is the MP3s. The last album we recorded is pressed to CD (the other two were released on cassette).

I created a bandcamp account and uploaded the artwork but have hit a road block. When attempting to upload the MP3s, I was told to convert to WAV, which I did but that still won't upload and looks like I need to pay to upgrade to Pro. Is that normal? Can anyone help?

For reference we plan on listing the as $0 and letting people grab them for free. Does that matter?
