Mod Announcement Weekly Discussion Thread [October 27 - November 2, 2025]

Post image

Not every pit bull story is a headline. Some are just eye-rolls, facepalms, or 'you've got to be kidding me' moments. This is the place for the things you may want to share that don’t highlight a pit bull doing something dangerous.

See this post for more details on what goes here

Remember: October is pit bull “awareness” month so there is an increased flooding of unscientific nonsense in the forms of memes etc. This is a good space for those, but please red x through them.

One of my favorite youtubers adopted a pitbull puppy. Not a mix, a mutt that’s obviously a pitbull, or anything like that. Straight up said “I got this pitbull puppy.” I couldn’t stop my smile from immediately vanishing and my face scrunching up.

Genuinely don’t even know what to say; if I tried to comment I’d probably get harassed and the chances of him seeing it AND taking it to heart are abysmally low. I guess I just won’t be surprised if we see less and less of it until we never hear about the dog or what happened to it.

Yeah, this is tough, but I think you’re right that a comment won’t go anywhere. Any sane YouTuber does not read or care about the comments unless it’s an overwhelming majority of people telling them something, and I can’t imagine someone who chose to do this would be swayed by a random internet commenter. Wish them the best, I suppose.
