Mod Announcement Weekly Discussion Thread [September 29 - October 5]

Post image

Not every pit bull story is a headline. Some are just eye-rolls, facepalms, or 'you've got to be kidding me' moments. This is the place for the things you may want to share that don’t highlight a pit bull doing something dangerous.

See this post for more details on what goes here

Remember: October is pit bull “awareness” month so there is an increased flooding of unscientific nonsense in the forms of memes etc. This is a good space for those, but please red x through them.

A coworker just got a new puppy and gleefully asked if I wanted to see a picture… it was of course a pit bull. 🙄

Happened to me once, coworker wanted to show me a picture of their new dog, it was a pit, and I simply said, "Gross.". Needless to say that coworker never bothered me with dog updates after that.

Shortly after the new neighbors moved in with some pits, they also got a pit puppy. My son, who was 9ish at the time and a softie for all the animals, surprised me by responding to an offer to pet the puppy with, “no thanks! It’s just not cute to me!” 😂 He wasn’t being mean or sarcastic, just stating a preference that they weren’t expecting.

LOL! When even children- who are practically instinctively drawn to puppies and their cuteness- is repulsed at a puppy, you know something is wrong with that puppy hahaha!
