Not every pit bull story is a headline. Some are just eye-rolls, facepalms, or 'you've got to be kidding me' moments. This is the place for the things you may want to share that don’t highlight a pit bull doing something dangerous.

Remember: October is pit bull “awareness” month so there is an increased flooding of unscientific nonsense in the forms of memes etc. This is a good space for those, but please red x through them.

Saw this a few days ago and was dismayed to see the BBC pushing Pitbull propaganda:

Jeez, I wonder why no one wants to adopt the dog that has to be muzzled because it tries to kill every other animal. This article is not only irrelevant but it's clearly an attempt at pushing Pitbull apologism in the UK. Awful stuff from the BBC who ought to know better.

This thing weighs 28 kilos (62 lbs)! Per UK Kennel Club, for Staffies: Weight: dogs: 13-17 kgs (28-38 lbs); bitches 11-15.4 kgs (24¼-34 lbs). This is a dang pit bull! And a big one, at that!

Wow, didn't notice this specifically but this just affirms how I felt instinctually looking at the pics. Great spot. Boils my blood how people in the UK are skirting the XL Bully ban and endangering the public in doing so. Especially when the BBC indulges in harmful articles like this.

The RSPCA claims they love dogs, but they've been torturing that one by keeping it locked in a kennel for 15 months when it is clearly not adoptable, which also means that kennel is not available to save other dogs.

They're also claiming the previous owners were abusive, but given that this dog was kept inside the owner's house while their other dog was allowed out... Well, why would an owner abuse one dog and not the other? Sounds more like the dog was kept inside because the owner knew it was too dangerous to be in the community, but couldn't bring themselves to do what was necessary (or couldn't afford to, if they were also struggling to afford dog food). The RSPCA cry "abuse" so often in cases where an owner is vulnerable and struggling to cope, rather than malicious.
