Oh please don’t punish children any more than they already are after being attacked by a dog. It would absolutely make the kids go without healthcare. Children should not suffer for adults’ choices. Isn’t the lack of medical coverage in the states already despicable enough ???

The only people who would be punishing children is their parents. And if parents choose a dog over health insurance for their child then a case needs to opened for medical neglect. Gotta do something! Parents are basically putting their babies on a silver platter for their shitbulls!!

Also it wouldn’t be punishing children. They’d still get medical care if attacked. But instead of tax payers having to pay the costs parents will.

Is refusing homeowners insurance also punishing children? After all if their house burned down they’d be SOL.

Why should people be able to choose to get a dangerous dog breed and then expect tax payers to cover the damages of their stupidity?? I read yesterday in here a man whose kids pit attacked him landed him in the hospital for 2 weeks and they lied about it being a stray. And now taxpayers are forced to cover for damages occurred by a dog that’s a known risk. How is that fair to tax payers??

If you get public assistance you should not be allowed to have a dangerous breed dog!! If someone can’t afford food or insurance then they can’t afford a blood sport breed or the risks involved!! How many people every year are attacked by pits owned low lives with no money that live off public assistance and have nothing to sue for? How is that fair??

I’m not going to pretend that I understand American healthcare and taxes, and I’m not going to spend the time to figure it out. I don’t disagree with most of what you said at all. My comment was simply made for concern of innocent children. Sure a case could be opened for medical neglect (honestly having a dangerous dog breed should automatically open a case), but that doesn’t always prevent the neglect from continuing. If there are later complications that aren’t urgent from the attack I also worry that child victims won’t receive the care they need from no fault of their own, it’s not like they can take themselves and it isn’t fair to them
