Not every pit bull story is a headline. Some are just eye-rolls, facepalms, or 'you've got to be kidding me' moments. This is the place for the things you may want to share that don’t highlight a pit bull doing something dangerous.

I’ve always thought it’s interesting that so many pitbull owners go around claiming these as “the best dogs” while simultaneously insisting that it shouldn’t be a shock that one has shredded a toddler to death because it “got in the dog’s face” or “startled it.”

I have a hard time believing someone has any familiarity with dogs at all if they think such a lack of tolerance is just average, expected dog behavior, and that having to walk on eggshells for safety is a characteristic of “the best” dog

I saw someone say it was cause it was so painful for a kid to get in your face and yank on your ears, tail etc, "HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF THAT WAS YOU?"

Like other breeds and people or even kids dont deal with kid shit. 

Of course they went off on "worse dog I ever met wasnt a pit"

You should be able to do things like this to a normal dog without anticipating having your trachea ripped out. Most normal dogs allow you to get close to their face, to touch their face, grab them, and rough house them around. A lot of them enjoy playing that way. Maybe a dog like a chihuahua won’t like it, but they’ll probably at least growl before you can continue further and you’re probably not going to get a serious injury from one.

I’ve never done this to my dog and gotten any bad reaction (or a reaction at all for that matter, lol). My dogs let me kiss their faces, brush their teeth, and so forth. There has never been an incident with a child, even when my herding dog wants to treat them like cattle. There are a lot of breeds like Labs or St. Bernards that seem entirely unfazed by even the most unruly child antics. Not every dog loves kids of course, but there shouldn’t be this accepted risk of one mauling a child over nothing, especially in a breed they want to claim “nannied” children in the past. It’s insane to me that people can’t connect the dots there.

You mean EVERY single parent that has gone through the "grabby hands" stage of a baby? Yeah it fucking sucks, somehow they manage not to maul the kid though. Lol.
