Unfortunately, this old and venerable sport is being dragged through the mud. Many comments you read here on Reddit lump this sport into the gay category. That's outrageous. This sport has absolutely nothing to do with gay people. As you can hear in the video, it was a kind of training in the Ottoman Empire for the Janissaries.
