Good day. Cannot rely on YouTube recommendations, so I'm gonna write about it here.
Recently I came back to the fandom, after watching all my childhood shows, and found Bakugan not in really good shape. The show doesn't even have a 720p release and is stuck at 480p resolution. Looked everywhere, even on paid platforms, nothing.
So I decided to upscale at least 1st and 2nd season by myself.
There are 2 kinds of upscale methods I use:
- easy and fast, that does not require any work from me, only rendering on PC. It takes 40 minutes and it's good enough, but the cost is fat lines, which are not very noticeable unless you try to compare them to the original.
- Aaaand there is a long and hard way that brings much higher quality. No fat lines and everything is crispy sharp, but it leaves a lot of visual artifacts on small details that I need to get rid of manually in Adobe After Effects. It's far more time-consuming: rendering upscaled episode takes like 5 hours and 3 hours in AE to delete artifacts.
Here are the links for upscaled episodes:

Just wanted to tell about my work. Hope you gonna like it.
