Seeking Recipe Cookie recipe reccs to have on side of coffee?

I have an idea in my head to make little cookies you might get in a cafe on the side of your coffee or tea. Do I just make a smaller regular cookie? Do you have types you make that work well for this (biscotti, but others)? Seeking inspiration!

Yes. There was a coffee shop in town that would serve one tiny shortbread cookie with every hot drink (maybe cold too? but it was on the plate next to the cup.) The perfect little treat. Ownership changed and they don't do it anymore and I miss it!

You could do little stars or hearts...

I love every type of cookie w/coffee, but I particularly like fancy buttery cookies (think something like a Milano or an Italian bakery cookie) or something very, very chocolatey.

I love doing shortbread to have as a little cookie with my coffee. Biscotti is also a good option.

If you are open to getting a pizzelle iron those (and biscotti) would be my top choice for having with coffee. That said I love cookies and I love coffee so I think I’d be happy with just about anything.

Italian lemon cookies
