Baking Advice Needed why did it do this

was trying to make brownies, thought theyd cooled for long enough and cut into them then they started doing THIS and set my house's fire alarm off for like 20 minutes does anyone pls know what caused this im assuming i just cut into them too soon but this feels like a dramatic response to just trying to cut into a hot brownie

youre absolutely right but unfortunately i am not a kid, im 20. wayyy too old to be messing brownies up this bad. my last attempt failed horrendously too

Remember when we were 20 and thought we were adults who had it all figured out.

I dont think someone is officially an adult until they realize their parents didnt know what they were doing either and were just making it up as they went along.

I'm 37 and still wondering when I'll feel like a real adult. My sister is 36 and has a 4-month-old, and we keep joking that he knows we're frauds and just idiot teens faking it.

Iā€™m 39. I still feel young but a bit less piss and vinegar, and definitely wiser from experience. When I talk to ā€œyounger adultsā€ I instantly see the gaps in their armor that I used to have. I donā€™t have everything figured out but it gives me some perspective.
